Any essay can be covered in five parts: the introduction, the body which includes three main points and the conclusion. A proper essay format should comprise of all these parts.

In a proper format of an essay, the body of the essay does not necessarily have three main points. Depending on the topic and the matter you can even have more main points. Although, using this particular structure for an essay format will make it easy for you to envision the paper.

The essay writing about myself is just what it sounds like: an essay about you, but your goal is much more complicated than that. You must provide the school with your strengths, but do it in a way that is not arrogant. Anyone can talk about how good they are; the key is to present yourself in a favorable light, and that includes your perception about yourself. When a school is reading the essay about myself they pay close attention to your writing style because that says a lot about who you are. If your tone is spot on, the chances of getting into that school go up significantly.

One component of the TSI test is the essay question. You will be asked to write a persuasive essay on a controversial issue or an issue of current interest. The TSI essay will be evaluated on organization, focus, development and support, sentence structure, and mechanical conventions. The good news is that your essay is only required to be 300-600 words in length. A simple 5 paragraph essay will be more than sufficient. Scores on the essay section range from 1 to 8, with 8 being the highest.

The biggest differences between the low-scoring and high-scoring essays is LENGTH and CLARITY. Aim to achieve multiple paragraphs with good organization, and this essay should be fairly easy!

There are a lot of factors involved here, such as the subject of the essay, the total length of the essay, how many paragraphs the essay body has, and what the purpose of the essay is. Generally speaking, though, seven hundred words is much too long for an "introduction," unless you are writing a master s thesis. If possible, consult with the teacher or with someone who can look at your work and give you some specific advice. Without being much more familiar with what you are trying to accomplish and what the guidelines of the assignment are, anyone on "Answers" would just be guessing about whether or not your approach makes sense. It might be wise, before putting your grade at risk, to get more detailed information from a reliable source.

1. Introduction
2. Using quotations in your essay
3. Additional information

Many students tend to overuse direct quotations in their essays. Direct quotations should be used only when paraphrasing would change the effectiveness or meaning of the author's words or when the author is a noted authority and the idea could not be better expressed or said more succinctly. Although quotations are common in essays in the humanities, they are used less extensively in the social sciences, and rarely in scientific writing.
